Gemma & Michael

This loving pair had been friends for more than seven years, it was a delightful surprise for Gemma when Michael got down on one knee and proposed to her on a stopover one night in Bangkok.

Having been to Bali in the past, they knew the magic of The Island of the Gods, “When we saw the venue, we fell in love with it! We wanted to celebrate our day in Bali as we would have back at home in Perth, without the massive budget.”

The joyful couple exchanged vows late afternoon, on July 25th, 2011, in the Tirtha Uluwatu Chapel, shared with 62 guests composed of family and close friends.
Gemma was stunning with hair and make-up styled by Tirtha’s talented aesthetics staff, holding a bouquet of hot pink roses studded with zirconia pins, wrapped in delicate black lace. While Michael looked dashing, incorporating hints of their themed colors, black and hot pink boutonnière.

After the ceremony Michael and Gemma’s guests made their way over to the Tirtha Lahur pavilion where they mingled and enjoyed Bali’s favorite time of day, sunset, and fabulous cocktails. Decorated with luminous hot pink and white paper lanterns, hanging delicately from seaside foliage, a picturesque spot to welcome the newly married couple.

The bridal tables were stunning, set with immaculately polished stemware and silverware, crisp linens adorned each seating arrangement, draped with custom-made black lace overlays, classic hand cut hot pink rose centerpieces and elegant menu cards with matching black lace. Speeches, laughter and love filled the romantically lit dining room during their 3-course dinner. Of course a wedding wouldn’t be complete without a cake, Michael and Gemma selected a classic three-tier delight, wrapped in intricate black lace, and topped with hot pink roses synchronizing color theme of their special day.

Dancing under the stars, lively conversations al fresco by the cascading light of the pool, the guests were in for a very special surprise, everyone’s attention directed up to the starlit sky decorated by dazzling array of firework display.

The celebration was photographed by Tirtha’s on-site professional photography. It was key that the pictures record the mood of each moment, which was why they chose to work with someone who knew the grounds and could also bring out the very best of the couple and everyone attending.

The couple and their guests, received pampering and service beyond their wildest dreams, not a single detail was left out. “Our wedding day was truly amazing, Tirtha Bridal and their team went to every length to fulfill our wishes. The day was the best day of our lives, and something we will never forget.”
